Givenchy seeks Senior Retail Merchandiser for women's leather goods in Paris, managing category strategy, sales performance, and product assortment.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily business performance and sell-through metrics across zones and retail locations, analyzing sales data, inventory levels, and regional performance trends
  • Develop and implement action plans in partnership with regional teams to maximize sell-through and product velocity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Collection Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Retail, E-commerce, and 360° teams to optimize product launches and category performance
  • Define category budgets in partnership with supply chain teams and forecast seasonal requirements by line and model
  • Lead strategic recommendations on reorders, product phasing, and phase-out planning based on product strategy and remaining inventory levels
  • Organize and animate showrooms, presenting buying strategies and launch plans to senior management throughout the season
  • Build and monitor Open-To-Buy (OTB) allocations in coordination with supply chain partners
  • Conduct buyer meetings with regional teams, reviewing assortments, quantities, and performance debriefs
  • Balance product line relationships, maintain OTB compliance, and validate quantities by reference and zone
  • Define assortment strategies and cluster approaches tailored to each collection and regional market
  • Build buying and assortment strategies by cluster and location for each collection cycle
  • Track product efficacy and depth of offering at the cluster and store level
  • Define permanent assortment offerings and ensure ongoing optimization

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent university diploma from a business school or equivalent institution
  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in Retail Merchandising or Central Buying roles within fashion
  • Highly developed retail sensibility with strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Deep sensitivity to luxury fashion and heritage sectors
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, proactive initiative-taking, and analytical synthesis skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and rigorous approach to data management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative team orientation, and demonstrated autonomy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present complex strategies to senior stakeholders
  • Native or fluent proficiency in French and English; Italian is advantageous
