Production, Purchasing & Quality Manager at Givenchy in Florence, Italy—lead manufacturing operations for luxury leather goods and accessories.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Production Planning team, managing allocation of orders across production, press, VIP, uniform, and outlet channels for leather goods, shoes, bijoux, and accessories
- Monitor production budgets and conduct weekly coordination meetings with Development, Industrialization, and Quality teams to ensure alignment
- Manage external vendors and suppliers during production phases to guarantee adherence to agreed delivery dates and timelines established by the Industrial and Supply Chain teams
- Develop and manage the Industrial Production Plan for Givenchy Accessories, including retroplanning for launches and priority initiatives
- Lead and coordinate the Purchasing team, overseeing pre-orders of raw materials (MRP) and managing production timelines with tanneries, fabric suppliers, and metal hardware vendors
- Consolidate supplier relationships and negotiate production capacities, costs, and budgets for both finished goods and raw materials
- Manage and monitor external production through periodic site visits and continuous follow-up, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Lead and coordinate the Quality team (finished goods inspectors), establishing and updating quality standards for finished products, raw materials, processes, and suppliers
- Define strategic quality improvement plans and manage laboratory tests, wear tests, and packaging specifications
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators including on-time delivery, accuracy, cancellations, and end-of-season performance; communicate findings to senior leadership and suppliers
- Develop vendor ratings, KPIs, and dashboards for supplier performance; coordinate scouting for new suppliers as needed
- Manage contracts with suppliers, documentation, and operational procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a similar role as Production Manager, Purchasing Manager, or Quality Manager within industrial manufacturing contexts
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and reporting
- Fluent in Italian and proficient in English or French
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams across production, procurement, and quality disciplines
- Strong analytical and synthesis capabilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in production and purchasing management or quality assurance roles within industrial manufacturing environments, ideally within luxury goods, leather goods, footwear, or accessories sectors. Demonstrated success managing large-scale supplier networks and cross-functional teams in fast-paced manufacturing contexts.
Education
Master's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 70,000 per annum.
