Givenchy is hiring a Leather Goods Technician & CAD Patternmaker in Bagno a Ripoli, Italy. Senior technical role in leather product development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and draft CAD patterns in MOZART aligned with designers' briefs and brand standards.
  • Interpret and translate designers’ requests into technically viable constructions for leather goods.
  • Analyze prototypes with a focus on future industrialization in close collaboration with the Industrialization department.
  • Define and optimize production work cycles in partnership with Industrialization, Quality and Production teams.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate technical specification sheets (tech packs) and ensure traceable documentation archiving.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize times and costs together with Costing, Atelier and external suppliers while preserving creative requirements.
  • Act as technical interlocutor for material validation, adapting materials to construction, cost and quality targets.
  • Support Industrialization in defining industrial quality standards and conducting tests and validations on masters/preseries.
  • Research new technologies, reinforcement materials and suppliers consistent with brand and industrial strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in comparable technical roles within high-end leather goods or luxury accessories.
  • Proven technical knowledge of premium leather goods construction and quality standards.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; working knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Proven proficiency with CAD MOZART and the ability to read and interpret paper and digital patterns.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong cost-awareness and commitment to product excellence.
  • Ability to anticipate construction and functionality issues and propose pragmatic solutions.
  • Agility in fast-paced, changeable environments and readiness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel.

Experience
