Givenchy seeks a Leather Goods Senior Prototypist in Scandicci, Italy. Lead luxury handbag assembly with 10+ years of expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage all prototyping phases for luxury handbag assembly, including cutting and machine processes
- Read and interpret technical patterns, identifying component parts and assembly sequences
- Assemble luxury bag components with precision, integrating metal hardware and accessories according to design specifications
- Proactively identify and suggest technical and quality improvements throughout the assembly process
- Maintain daily alignment with pattern makers, development teams, and industrialization specialists
- Operate specialized assembly tools and equipment with technical proficiency
- Identify technical issues during assembly and collaboratively develop solutions
- Collaborate with CAD and Industrialization teams using continuous improvement methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in all prototyping phases for leather goods
- Comprehensive knowledge of luxury handbag manufacturing techniques and leather goods production processes
- Expert understanding of raw materials including metal hardware, leather, and fabrics
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability with team-oriented approach
- Acute sensitivity to product quality with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
