Givenchy seeks Head of Social Media in Paris. Lead global digital strategy, manage content, and coordinate regional teams in this hybrid, contract role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and drive Givenchy's global social media strategy in alignment with brand positioning and business objectives
- Develop and oversee the annual editorial calendar, integrating collection launches, campaigns, and event activations
- Ensure consistent brand tone, visual identity, and storytelling across all platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, X, WeChat, etc.)
- Monitor digital trends, algorithm updates, and competitive intelligence on an ongoing basis
- Supervise social media content production in close collaboration with Creative, Studio, and Communications teams
- Validate creative briefs for internal teams and external agencies, ensuring alignment with editorial vision
- Coordinate publishing schedules and cross-functional validation workflows
- Manage relationships with specialised social media agencies, content producers, and influencer partners
- Frame agency briefs, monitor deliverables, and evaluate performance against KPIs
- Lead vendor selection processes and supplier renewal cycles in coordination with Procurement and Legal
- Collaborate with the Media team to define paid social strategies and content amplification approaches
- Participate in global media planning and oversee paid campaign configuration across social platforms
- Analyse social media investment effectiveness and recommend optimisation strategies
- Ensure alignment between organic content and paid media initiatives
- Provide strategic and operational liaison with regional marketing teams (North America, China, Japan) to adapt content for cultural and local relevance
- Establish content localisation guidelines while maintaining Maison cohesion
- Monitor market-specific performance metrics and refine strategies accordingly
- Coordinate platform-specific local activations
- Supervise, mentor, and develop two direct reports
- Set individual objectives, conduct annual reviews, and support skills development
- Foster a collaborative, creative, and demanding work environment
- Define and track social media KPIs including engagement rates, follower growth, reach, share of voice, and conversion metrics
- Produce regular reports for the CMO and executive leadership
- Conduct campaign performance evaluations and formulate continuous optimisation plans
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac +5) from a business school, political science institute, university, or digital marketing/communications programme
- 8–12 years of social media experience, with significant background in luxury and fashion sectors
- Proven track record in strategic and managerial social media leadership roles
- Demonstrated knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, and North American market dynamics and specificities
- Extensive experience coordinating with specialised agencies and media teams
- Advanced proficiency across all major global and local social platforms
- Strong creative sensitivity and understanding of fashion house culture
- Mastery of analytics and social listening tools (Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Socialbakers, or equivalent)
- Solid project management competencies, multi-stakeholder coordination, and prioritisation skills
- Natural leadership ability with capacity to unite and motivate diverse teams

Experience
8 to 12 years of social media experience, with substantial background in luxury and fashion. Proven strategic and managerial leadership in social media roles. Familiarity with Chinese, Japanese, and North American market contexts and consumer dynamics. Demonstrated experience managing relationships with specialised agencies and coordinating with internal media teams.
Education
Master's degree (Bac +5) from a business school, political science institute, university, or programme specialising in digital marketing and communications.
