Givenchy Assistant Merchandiser position in Shanghai, supporting buying and product assortment strategies for luxury fashion retail across Asia Pacific.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support Merchandising Manager in executing buying and product assortment plans by analyzing past season performance and current market trends to forecast future product demand
- Develop and maintain accuracy of purchase orders, financial reports, ad-hoc analyses, and strategic merchandising action plans according to established timelines
- Communicate proactively with retail store teams to gather customer feedback and market insights, translating regional preferences into tailored geo-merchandising strategies
- Collaborate with logistics partners to monitor shipments, prepare compliance documentation, and guarantee timely product delivery to stores
- Oversee stock consolidation and inventory transfers to optimize product distribution and inventory efficiency across the retail network
- Design and execute creative, engaging seasonal product training sessions for retail associates
- Monitor competitive landscape including competitor product offerings, pricing strategies, performance metrics, and marketing activities
- Support promotional planning initiatives, after-sale service protocols, and seasonal pricing adjustments
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or product assortment roles within luxury or fashion retail
- Proven expertise in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI is advantageous
- Demonstrated passion for fashion and luxury goods
- Strong analytical mindset with acute business acumen and sensitivity to financial metrics
- Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Proficiency in both oral and written English and Mandarin Chinese; French language skills are desirable
