Ginori 1735 (Kering) in Sesto Fiorentino seeks a Materials Preparation Operator for porcelain production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare semi-finished materials for porcelain production (slips, mixes, supports and glazes) according to established recipes and technical specifications.
- Operate and maintain production equipment including weighing systems, grinding mills, dissolvers, filter presses, extruder and storage tanks.
- Monitor and control production equipment to ensure correct functioning and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Plan and schedule production activities to meet delivery requirements for semi-finished goods to downstream manufacturing departments.
- Manage the Raw Materials Warehouse: post receipts into the system, perform withdrawals according to recipes, and conduct inventory operations and checks.
- Supply and replenish the White production area (casting, pressure-casting, roller systems, glazing) to guarantee continuity of the manufacturing process.
- Perform quality checks and tests on mixes and semi-finished products to ensure compliance with Ginori 1735 quality standards.
- Collaborate proactively with internal functions including White manufacturing colleagues, Stock Warehouse, Laboratory and Quality department.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on production plants or lines, preferably in the preparation of mixes and semi-finished materials.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible with a strong attention to quality and detail.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work autonomously to meet production demands and schedules.
- Solid problem-solving attitude and capacity to work under production constraints.
- Team-oriented approach and effective collaboration with cross-functional colleagues.
Skills
Experience
Experience operating industrial production equipment or lines is required; prior exposure to preparing mixes, slips or semi-finished materials for ceramics/porcelain production is strongly preferred.
Education
Secondary school diploma or vocational/technical qualification; technical training in production, chemistry or industrial processes is an advantage.
