Role & Responsibilities

  • Report to the Department Manager and work within the kiln team to execute daily firing operations.
  • Load and unload products onto kiln trolleys or the kiln conveyor following precise placement specifications.
  • Perform incoming and outgoing quality checks on pieces affected by the firing process, identifying defects and reporting anomalies.
  • Operate pallet truck (transpallet) to move handling units and materials within the production area safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues during paired or team shifts to ensure continuous kiln throughput and adherence to production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with established health & safety procedures for kiln operation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in shift-based production environments.
  • Availability and willingness to work a 3-shift rotation, including night shifts.
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and ability to work in close coordination with peers.
  • Punctual, reliable and responsible approach to assigned duties.
  • Ability to operate a pallet truck (transpallet) and handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
