This formational internship with Ginori 1735, the world-renowned Italian porcelain manufacturer and Kering house, offers immersive training in hand-lining and decorative finishing techniques. Working under the Hand Lining Coordinator, the successful candidate will develop mastery of brushwork, colour preparation, and manual decoration processes on fine porcelain pieces, progressing from supervised work to independent execution on entry-level pieces.
Role & Responsibilities
- Master the use of brushes and small wooden lathes for hand-lining operations on porcelain pieces
- Learn and execute proper colour preparation (mesticazione) techniques according to established protocols
- Progressively develop hand-lining skills through supervised execution of designs on pieces of varying complexity
- Achieve gradual autonomy in manual line work on entry-level porcelain blanks
- Execute colour touch-ups and trim work on decorative handles and finished pieces
- Support the use of reference marking tools and technical specification sheets for personalized production runs
Qualifications
- Background in artistic or visual design education or training
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and precision in fine craft work
- Exceptional attention to colour detail and chromatic observation skills
