Vault Manager position at Galeries Lafayette Paris. CDD contract (replacement) until August 2026. Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the opening and closing of safes and secure cash storage facilities
- Order and procure currency denominations required for daily cash register operations
- Conduct monthly rolling fund verification and reconciliation procedures
- Enforce and monitor compliance with security and safety regulations
- Verify proper functioning of alarm systems and security infrastructure
- Constitute and balance cash registers; execute necessary adjustments and distributions
- Prepare and distribute cash drawer packets and lead seals
- Verify complete return of cash packages in accordance with established schedules
- Count, control, and record all daily revenues from point-of-sale systems
- Monitor all fund movements including currency requests, vault transfers, and register withdrawals
- Coordinate with cash courier services for daily deposits to banking institutions
- Receive and verify delivered currency orders from external suppliers
Qualifications
- Demonstrated accuracy and conscientiousness in financial handling and record-keeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace tools
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities
- Ability to work methodically with numerical data
- Experience in retail cash management or financial operations preferred
Skills
Experience
Experience in retail finance, cash management, or related financial operations roles; knowledge of luxury retail environments is advantageous.
Education
Secondary education or equivalent; additional training in finance or retail operations is a plus.
