Stock Runner (CDD) at a leading French luxury maison — Paris, France. Fixed-term position handling stock, deliveries and floor replenishment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack and verify incoming deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Perform accurate goods-in inspections and report discrepancies to store management.
- Process and stage merchandise for timely replenishment of the sales floor.
- Maintain an orderly, secure and compliant stockroom with correct labelling and rotation.
- Execute regular inventory counts and support stocktakes, updating records in the inventory system.
- Prepare outbound transfers and returns in accordance with internal procedures.
- Operate handheld scanners and other back‑of‑house equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support visual merchandising and floor moves as required during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail stock operations, warehouse or logistics preferred.
- Reliable timekeeping, strong attention to detail and an organised approach to stock control.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and escalate discrepancies appropriately.
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise safely and work on feet for long periods.
- Basic numeracy for counting and reconciling stock; familiarity with handheld scanners or inventory devices is advantageous.
- Right to work in the country of employment for the duration of the fixed-term contract.
Skills
Experience
Previous exposure to retail stockroom or warehouse duties is preferred; ideally at least one season or 6–12 months in a similar role handling deliveries, replenishment and stocktakes.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational qualification in logistics or retail operations is advantageous.
