Galeries Lafayette Paris seeks a Security Team Leader to lead loss prevention and asset protection operations at the Boulevard Haussmann flagship store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures related to personnel safety
- Verify proper functioning of surveillance systems, alarms, and anti-theft technologies
- Identify individuals responsible for theft or violation of security regulations and report to appropriate authorities
- Enforce security rules and regulations throughout the retail location
- Manage investigations into security breaches and suspected criminal activity
- Handle internal and external security-related customer requests with efficiency and discretion
- Inspect store security infrastructure and identify vulnerabilities
- Investigate and determine root causes of inventory discrepancies and merchandise loss
- Monitor and enforce asset protection protocols to reduce shrinkage and unknown loss
- Analyze and track security performance metrics and key performance indicators
- Monitor cash handling procedures and conduct reconciliation investigations as needed
- Implement daily loss prevention activities to mitigate internal and external threats
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and capability
- Establish and monitor team objectives aligned with organizational goals
- Create and manage team schedules and handle staff absences
- Provide support and guidance to team members facing complex situations
- Ensure adherence to company policies and employee handbook regulations
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with all departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac +5) in security management or related discipline
- Current CQP APS (Certificat de Qualification Professionnelle Agent de Prévention et de Sécurité) certification
- Valid professional security credentials and identification card for France
- Demonstrated expertise in loss prevention and shrinkage mitigation
- Strong technical and legal knowledge of security operations
- Proven team leadership and employee motivation experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong analytical and investigative capabilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in retail security, loss prevention, or asset protection management, including demonstrated experience leading security teams in a complex retail environment.
Education
Master's degree (Bac +5) in security management, loss prevention, or a related field. Current CQP APS certification and valid professional security card are required.
