Galeries Lafayette seeks a Safety & Security Assistant for a 2-year work-study role in Paris, focusing on loss prevention, crisis management, and security procedures.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update safety procedures documented in the Security Handbook (Livre Blanc)
  • Develop and communicate crisis management protocols; coordinate internal drills and liaise with public security forces
  • Support loss prevention efforts through on-site auditing and investigations (approximately 10% of role)
  • Monitor implementation of the Manager Safety for Large Sites (MSGS) training programme
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual safety performance reports
  • Contribute to weekly service committee meetings
  • Conduct daily security surveillance and threat assessment

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or admitted to a Master's degree programme in Security, Safety, or Geopolitics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
