Confidential luxury brand in Paris seeks a Purchasing Intern (Buyer) to support the buying team and assortment planning.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the buying team in seasonal assortment planning and range-building for assigned categories.
- Compile and analyse sales, sell-through and inventory data to inform purchasing decisions and reorders.
- Prepare purchase orders, follow up on delivery schedules and track open-to-buy and stock positions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, production and logistics to monitor samples, lead times and quality issues.
- Produce weekly/monthly reports and presentation materials for buying meetings and collection reviews.
- Assist with pricing analysis, margin monitoring and competitive benchmarking.
- Participate in fittings, showroom reviews and cross-functional meetings with design and merchandising.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- Strong numerical aptitude and demonstrable analytical ability; able to synthesise data into actionable recommendations.
- Keen interest in luxury fashion, product assortments and consumer behaviour.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal teams and external partners.

Experience
Previous internship or work experience in buying, merchandising, retail operations or a related commercial role is advantageous but not mandatory. Practical exposure to luxury retail or wholesale environments will be considered a plus.
Education
Enrolled in a tertiary programme (Bachelor's or Master's) in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Business, Economics, or a related field.
