Purchasing Assistant internship at a leading luxury fashion house in Paris — 6‑month placement starting end of June.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing team in the end‑to‑end processing of purchase orders, from issuance to delivery follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update supplier, order and shipment data in internal systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders (production, quality, logistics) to expedite orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor lead times, stock levels and order confirmations to anticipate shortages and propose corrective actions.
- Prepare procurement reports and KPI dashboards to inform purchasing decisions and supplier performance reviews.
- Assist with sourcing activities, price comparisons and obtaining quotes from approved suppliers.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing workflow, including data cleansing and process documentation.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills with rigorous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact professionally with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- Analytical aptitude with ability to prepare concise reports and interpret procurement metrics.
