Role & Responsibilities
- Support the procurement team with purchase order creation, follow-up and supplier confirmations.
- Monitor inventory levels and participate in inventory control and stock replenishment activities.
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers, internal workshops and logistics partners to ensure on-time receipt of components.
- Assist with supplier relationship management, including routine communication and documentation control.
- Update and maintain data within the ERP system (purchase orders, goods receipts, supplier records).
- Analyse lead times, order fulfilment performance and basic procurement KPIs; prepare regular reports for the team.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings with production, quality and planning to resolve supply disruptions.
- Support incoming goods quality checks and escalate non-conformities to purchasing and quality teams.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business administration or equivalent.
- Strong organisational aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to transactional work.
- Proven ability to work within cross-functional teams and to communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- High level of proficiency with spreadsheet analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and comfortable learning ERP workflows.
- Availability for a six-month internship and willingness to work on-site in a watchmaking environment.
Skills
Experience
Previous internships or coursework in procurement, logistics or operations are advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate analytical capability and prior exposure to transactional supply-chain tasks.
Education
Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business or equivalent).
