Galeries Lafayette seeks a management accounting intern in Paris to support operational financial control, monthly close, and international business partner management across franchise and affiliate operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure timely monthly financial close for international franchises (Qatar, UAE, Macau, Indonesia, India) and French affiliates, including provisions calculation and royalty billing
- Monitor and control royalties and financial flows for the French affiliate network; reconcile and validate China zone closure data
- Conduct weekly revenue tracking across international and affiliate operations; develop analytical commentary in collaboration with partners
- Prepare monthly closure presentations with performance analysis and corrective action recommendations, positioning as a financial business partner
- Develop activity presentations for internal and external stakeholders (franchisees and affiliates); establish and monitor key performance indicators for retail location profitability
- Participate in budget, forecast, and medium-term planning development with franchise, affiliate, and China joint venture locations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and management tools in coordination with the Finance Department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Bac +5) from a business school or university with specialization in finance or management accounting
- Prior experience in management accounting through internships or work-study programs preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent English required for international operations scope
- SAP and Tagetik proficiency is a significant advantage
- Demonstrated ability to identify operational and business improvement opportunities

Experience
Prior internship or work-study experience in management accounting, financial control, or a related finance function is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree (Bac +5) from a business school or university, specialized in finance or management accounting. Advanced degree holders (Master's level) are particularly welcome.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 1,500 per month.
