Role & Responsibilities
- Operate forklift and other certified lifting equipment to move, load and unload goods in compliance with CACES authorisation and site safety rules.
- Receive, inspect and register inbound deliveries; verify quantities and condition of goods against delivery documentation.
- Prepare and stage customer and inter-departmental orders (picking, packing and labelling) to meet dispatch schedules and accuracy targets.
- Maintain accurate stock records through regular cycle counts and immediate reporting of discrepancies to warehouse management.
- Ensure storage areas are orderly and compliant with housekeeping and safety standards; assist with inventory optimisation and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with logistics, quality and retail teams to support replenishment, returns processing and special shipments for boutiques or production.
Qualifications
- Valid CACES certification appropriate for the site’s forklift categories (documented on hire).
- Demonstrable adherence to health and safety protocols and safe machine operation.
- Physical fitness and capacity for manual handling tasks; ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Reliable timekeeping, strong sense of responsibility and the ability to function within a fast-paced team environment.
- Fluency in French sufficient for operational communication and understanding safety instructions.
Skills
Experience
Preferably at least 1 year of hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally within retail, fashion or high-value goods environments; experience with CACES-regulated equipment is essential.
Education
Secondary-school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification in logistics/warehouse operations (CAP/BEP or similar) is desirable but not mandatory.
