Groupe Galeries Lafayette seeks an experienced Logistics Agent in Paris for Visual Merchandising operations, managing warehouse, materials handling, and basic maintenance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, load, unload, move, and store merchandise, materials, and equipment in compliance with established procedures
- Organize and maintain storage spaces to ensure material availability and efficient logistics flow
- Participate in assembly, disassembly, and installation of furniture during commercial operations, events, and store refurbishments
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs including carpentry and painting work to preserve furniture and equipment condition
- Prepare surfaces, apply finishing touches, and ensure high-quality work standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment by adhering to safety protocols and applicable procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics operations and share best practices with team members
Qualifications
- Significant hands-on experience in materials handling and warehouse operations
- Competency in basic maintenance, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Demonstrated rigour and organizational ability with attention to quality and compliance
- Versatility and autonomy in managing diverse operational requirements
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and hazard prevention
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams
- CACES R485 forklift certification (desired or to be obtained)
