The Legal Intern, Contracts, Distribution and Litigation supports Galeries Lafayette’s Legal Department with commercial agreements, operational contracts, legal queries, litigation monitoring and legal research, and contributes to legal department digitalisation using Tomorro. The internship begins in January 2027; monthly gross compensation is €1,300 for Bac+4 and €1,500 for Bac+5.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting and negotiating framework agreements during the annual negotiation campaign.
- Assist with drafting and negotiating sales commission agreements.
- Respond to business teams’ queries concerning commercial terminations and insolvency proceedings.
- Review, draft and monitor a range of contracts relating to department store operations, including service agreements, partnerships, overheads, construction work and IT.
- Monitor litigation.
- Track legal developments relevant to the department’s activities.
- Draft summary notes for business teams.
- Contribute to the digitisation of the Legal Department, including use of the Tomorro platform.
Qualifications
- Currently studying business law or contract law, or enrolled as a trainee lawyer.
- Customer-oriented, with the ability to build trusted client relationships and provide tailored solutions as an ambassador for the retailer.
- Agile learner who is comfortable taking on and meeting new challenges.
- A first experience as a legal professional is an advantage.
