Galeries Lafayette seeks an HR Manager for its Clermont-Ferrand store in a four-month contract role managing recruitment, employee development, and labor relations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deploy the corporate HR policy framework at the store level and ensure compliance with all employment regulations
- Orchestrate the full employee lifecycle—recruitment, onboarding, skills development, performance reviews, and remuneration management
- Provide strategic HR consultation to store management and operational leaders on workforce planning and capability building
- Cultivate and maintain a positive social climate, promoting employee engagement and well-being across all functions
- Oversee disciplinary procedures and manage contentious employment matters with discretion and legal rigor
- Administer personnel management systems and maintain comprehensive HR documentation and records
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar generalist HR role within a retail or multi-site environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams
- Expertise in French employment law and labor relations
- Strong consulting and stakeholder management capabilities
- Fluency in HRIS systems and HR best practices

Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably in retail, e-commerce, luxury fashion, or high-volume consumer-facing environments; proven success managing multi-site HR operations or leading HR functions for establishments with 100+ employees.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations, or a related discipline; relevant HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, DRH) are advantageous.
