Galeries Lafayette is seeking a Food Purchasing Intern for its Gourmet Paris Haussmann Food and Restaurant Purchasing Department. The intern will support commercial tracking, partner relations, product selection, catalogues, assortment reviews and promotional activity; monthly compensation is €1,300 at Bac +4 level or €1,500 at Bac +5 level.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Food and Restaurant Purchasing Department with commercial activity tracking, partner relations, product selection, catalogue production and assortment reviews.
- Track activity and prepare performance reviews for pop-ups.
- Prepare business reviews for purchasing meetings.
- Prepare and launch calls for tender for commercial events.
- Produce monthly newsletters for stores.
- Coordinate the product offering across media channels, including Gourmet-specific catalogues, social media and email campaigns.
- Propose ideas in response to sector trends, including new food concepts and products.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school or university programme at Bac +4/5 level, specialising in purchasing.
- Able to learn with agility and take on new challenges.
- Action-oriented, enthusiastic about new challenges and opportunities.
- Customer-oriented, able to represent the retailer, build trusted client relationships and provide personalised solutions.
