Galeries Lafayette seeks a Food & Beverage Sales Associate for the Gourmet department in Paris. Part-time role, Thursday–Saturday schedule.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers on the sales floor, ensuring availability and adherence to service standards
- Communicate product information and store services to customers with a focus on building long-term loyalty
- Execute complete sales transactions, including point-of-sale operations and cash handling
- Master and apply the steps of the consultative sales process to maximize customer satisfaction
- Receive, verify, and process incoming merchandise, maintaining cold chain integrity and quality control
- Organize and rotate products in refrigerated storage, ensuring compliance with temperature protocols
- Verify product saleability through labeling, pricing checks, and expiration date monitoring
- Stock and replenish the TAFA deli counter throughout operating hours
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, including temperature monitoring and best-by-date verification
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and floor areas according to hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food retail or deli operations (preferred)
- Demonstrated customer service excellence and orientation toward client satisfaction
- Action-oriented mindset with strong collaborative work ethic
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices
- Physical capability to handle refrigerated products and perform repetitive stocking duties
- Reliability and flexibility for Thursday–Saturday schedule
