Role & Responsibilities

  • Support security operations centre (SOC) activities: monitor alerts, triage incidents and escalate as required.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and help manage remediation workflows across applications and infrastructure.
  • Assist with incident response tasks, preserve evidence and contribute to post‑incident reports and remediation plans.
  • Contribute to the deployment and tuning of security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
  • Collaborate with IT, infrastructure and development teams to implement security controls and secure configurations.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and develop small scripts or playbooks to support detection and response.
  • Participate in security reviews, audits and risk assessments for projects and third‑party services.
  • Document procedures, maintain runbooks and support knowledge transfer within the security team.

Qualifications

  • Enrolment in an engineering school, university degree or technical programme in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering or a closely related field (required for alternance).
