Mauboussin seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant in Paris. Full‑time role managing supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process, code and post supplier invoices in accordance with internal control procedures and chart of accounts.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documents; investigate and resolve discrepancies with procurement and suppliers.
- Prepare and execute payment runs (bank transfers/SEPA) and manage payment schedules to optimize cash flow.
- Perform supplier reconciliations and maintain vendor master data, ensuring accuracy of contact and banking information.
- Prepare month‑end accruals, account reconciliations and AP reports for the finance team and support external/internal audits.
- Ensure VAT, withholding tax and local regulatory compliance for supplier transactions.
- Act as primary contact for suppliers on invoice status, disputes and payment queries.
Qualifications
- Diploma in accounting or finance (BTS/DUT, Bachelor in Accounting/Finance or equivalent).
- 2–4 years of hands‑on accounts payable experience, preferably in retail, wholesale or luxury goods.
- Strong understanding of French VAT and supplier tax rules.
- High level of accuracy, strong analytical ability and rigorous approach to internal controls.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact with procurement, operations and external vendors.

Minimum 2–4 years of accounts payable experience, ideally within retail, wholesale or the luxury sector, including vendor reconciliations, payment processing and month‑end activities.
Education
BTS/DUT in Accounting or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
