Groupe Galeries Lafayette seeks Accountant on 6-month CDD contract in Paris. Manage treasury, banking flows, and reconciliation for leading French jewelry distributor.
Role & Responsibilities
- Verify daily banking balances at J-1 using the Linkki reconciliation tool and control flow integration by company and bank
- Process and analyze unautomatically reconciled flows, identifying and correcting errors, particularly for cash flows through detailing and adjustment procedures
- Track accounting integration rhythm at twice-weekly intervals during standard periods and daily during monthly close cycles
- Create advance deposits in Front Office systems and communicate information to the retail network via shared Drive
- Process exceptional network requests including refund demands, advance payment extensions, late collections, and other retail support queries
- Respond to point-of-sale problematics such as payment type errors, duplicate card transactions, gift cards, checks, and reimbursements
- Monitor daily revenue reports by integration type via COMEX and analyze balance sheet accounts for anomalies, prioritizing cash register discrepancies
- Input weekly treasury flows via COMEX templates including Amex commissions, Alma commissions, treasury transfers, currency remittances, and Chronopost refunds
- Manage gift voucher financing and analyze marketplace transfers and commissions, particularly high-volume marketplace activity during promotional periods via IGO
- Ensure proper accrual and accounting of all real banking commission provisions at M+1 during monthly close
- Participate actively with team and external service providers in optimizing the Linkki tool through flow category review and automatic reconciliation rule refinement

- Demonstrated cooperation and excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Strong aptitude for relationship management and service orientation
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reconciliation and banking processes
- Experience with accounting software and treasury management tools
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Skills
Experience
Relevant accounting experience in a multi-location retail or distribution environment, preferably with exposure to treasury management, banking reconciliation, and point-of-sale accounting systems.
Education
Higher education qualification in accounting, finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., BTS Comptabilité, DUT Gestion Financière, or equivalent).

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 2,300 to EUR 2,400 per month.
