Fresh seeks Manager, Inventory Planning in New York City to optimize wholesale account supply chain operations. $90K–$120K USD, hybrid.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal inventory levels at wholesale accounts to achieve sales targets while maintaining In Stock/Presence rates across all retail partners and channels (brick-and-mortar and e-commerce)
  • Monitor and analyze inventory metrics including Inventory Turn, In Stocks, WOS, Sell Thru, and sales trends; develop tactical approaches to mitigate forecast fluctuations
  • Develop and maintain SKU Productivity analysis to maximize business performance; create recommendations to capitalize on trending categories whilst minimizing unproductive SKUs through Returns to Vendor (RTV) management
  • Manage RTV projection files and coordinate timely communication and execution of RTV activities on discontinued SKUs; proactively manage high WOS SKUs to minimize end-of-life liability
  • Develop weekly Sales and Stock analysis and generate recommendations to drive retail and gross sales; identify geo-targeted business opportunities
  • Implement segmentation, safety stock, inventory analysis, predictive analytics, and scenario planning best practices to ensure supply planning excellence
  • Forecast sales and shipments for product innovation and launches; provide input into the Monthly Forecast Review (MFR) with Global Forecasting
  • Partner with Key Accounts and Marketing teams to develop bottom-up shipment assumptions for promotions, secondary exposure, and media initiatives
  • Maintain the North American Order Book Roll Up on a daily and weekly basis to ensure monthly shipment forecasts are achieved; communicate variances and develop solutions with the Key Accounts team
  • Monitor gross sales and ensure monthly forecast accuracy; communicate order status with Customer Service and coordinate with Distribution Center teams to ensure timely shipment execution
  • Manage key performance indicators including fulfillment rates (90% target) and consumer service metrics; monitor and report on shipping chargebacks
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports to support analysis, solutions, and forecasting; build new tools and models as needed
  • Communicate with North American retailers regarding new launch allocations, inventory-related planning, strategy, and product discontinuation timelines
  • Cultivate strong, productive relationships with Wholesale Partners' planning teams to gather insights and strengthen planning processes, retail fill rates, and overall business outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Merchandise Planning, Buying, Retail Planning, Inventory Management, and/or Allocation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, and linked formulas
  • Demonstrated experience with retail analytics data models and data warehouse orchestration
  • Experience with weekly and monthly SKU-level assortment planning (highly recommended)
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated commercial and profit-driven orientation
  • Proficiency in retail mathematics and financial analysis
  • Expert-level analytical and reporting capabilities

Experience
