Fresh seeks Manager, Inventory Planning in New York City to manage wholesale inventory strategy, demand forecasting, and retailer partnerships for Sephora and Kohl's. $90–$120K USD.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze weekly sales data, inventory levels (on-hand, in-transit, on-order), and maintain comprehensive inventory and demand forecasting models
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels at Sephora (US, Canada, Mexico) and Kohl's wholesale accounts, achieving targeted In Stock/Presence rates and managing Inventory Turn, WOS, and Sell Through metrics
  • Develop strong, productive partnerships with retail planning teams to gather insights and strengthen planning processes, retailer fill rates, and overall business output
  • Conduct SKU Productivity analysis to maximize business performance; make recommendations to highlight trending categories and minimize unproductive SKUs through Return-to-Vendor (RTV) management
  • Manage RTV projection files with timely communication and execution of discontinued SKUs; proactively disable replenishment on high WOS items to minimize end-of-life liability
  • Develop Sales and Stock analysis to drive retail and gross sales recommendations on a weekly basis; identify and capitalize on geo-targeted opportunities
  • Communicate wholesale account strategy with North American retailers regarding new launches, limited-life allocations, inventory planning, and promotional calendars
  • Implement supply planning methodologies including segmentation, safety stock analysis, predictive analytics, and scenario planning to ensure excellence in operations
  • Forecast sales and shipments for product innovations and launches; provide input into Monthly Forecast Reviews with Global Forecasting teams
  • Partner with Key Accounts and Marketing to develop bottom-up shipment assumptions for promotions, secondary display opportunities, and media support
  • Maintain the North America Order Book Roll-Up daily and weekly; monitor variances and collaborate with Key Account teams to maximize opportunities and minimize risks
  • Monitor gross sales and ensure monthly forecast accuracy; manage fulfillment rates (targeting 90%) and consumer service metrics
  • Communicate daily with Customer Service and Distribution Center teams to ensure timely order shipment and achievement of monthly forecasts; generate Invoiced Evolution reports beginning Week 2 of each fiscal month
  • Maintain weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports supporting analysis, solution development, and forecasting; conduct ad hoc analyses and build new analytical tools and models

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Buying, Retail Planning, Inventory Management, or Allocation
  • Strong business acumen and financial aptitude with commercial awareness and profit-driven focus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including lookups, pivot tables, and linked formulas
  • Demonstrated experience with retail analytics data models and data warehouse orchestration
  • Expertise in weekly and monthly SKU-level assortment planning
  • Strong Retail Math fundamentals and reporting and analytical capabilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail with results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multifunctional teams
  • Natural curiosity with ability to identify emerging opportunities and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong sense of ownership, determination, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
