Role & Responsibilities

• Lead development and qualification of packaging solutions for gifting, limited-edition, and sampling initiatives, balancing brand aesthetics, consumer experience, functionality, manufacturability, quality, sustainability, and cost
• Partner with Packaging Design, Marketing, Product Innovation, Purchasing, and Operations to translate creative concepts into distinctive and commercially viable packaging experiences
• Drive packaging development from concept through execution, including design generation, prototypes, engineering specifications, tooling qualification, and quality testing
• Own technical milestones within project timelines and proactively resolve cross-functional roadblocks to ensure successful execution
• Manage external packaging vendors and suppliers, building strategic partnerships to develop technical solutions and identify emerging capabilities and innovations
• Create and maintain package component specifications, pre-Bills-of-Materials, Fill & Assembly specifications, and quality control requirements
• Collaborate with Design to ensure packaging color development, decoration, artwork, and proofs meet creative and manufacturing constraints
• Conduct and oversee packaging testing, including transit, functionality, and homologation testing, to ensure packages meet quality and performance requirements
• Attend and support set assembly and manufacturing start-ups, ensuring proper execution of design, function, and overall consumer experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and quality
• Support engineering changes, quality investigations, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Champion sustainable packaging solutions by identifying opportunities to improve materials, constructions, and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Package Engineering, Package Technology, Package Science, or related engineering field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Packaging Development, preferably in gifting
• Demonstrated broad and in-depth knowledge of packaging materials and processes
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with internal partners and external vendors
• Strong project management capabilities with attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset
• Proficient in MS Office software with capability to build presentations in Excel and PowerPoint
• CAD literacy (preferred)

Skills

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in packaging development, ideally with exposure to gifting, limited-edition programs, or sampling initiatives. Experience managing external packaging vendors and suppliers, leading cross-functional projects, and implementing packaging solutions from concept through manufacturing execution is essential.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Package Engineering, Package Technology, Package Science, or a related engineering discipline.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to USD 105,000 per annum.
