Fresh Finance Analyst HQ role in Jersey City, NJ. Support FP&A, budgeting, reporting, and month-end close. $75,000–$95,000 USD.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and month-end processes, including month-end close, actuals reporting, annual close, budget planning, and latest estimates
  • Prepare data and initial analyses to support monthly close review processes and departmental reviews, with focus on accruals tracking and actuals analysis
  • Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reported results
  • Monitor and analyze indirect purchasing activities to ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures
  • Identify key operating metrics for each function and support development of dashboards, bridge reporting, and performance monitoring analyses
  • Build collaborative and trusted working relationships across HQ departments and Fresh business functions
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to assess business operations and support management recommendations for actions and controls
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives while identifying risks and opportunities influencing investment and spending decisions
  • Support implementation of practical solutions for process enhancement

Qualifications

  • 1–4+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, accounting-related finance roles, or business analysis, preferably within corporate, consumer goods, retail, or multi-market environments
  • Strong ability to connect financial performance to business performance and translate analysis into clear conclusions, risks, opportunities, and recommendations
  • Demonstrated motivation to explore and improve financial performance through thoughtful analysis and business partnership
  • Ability to communicate the story behind the numbers
  • Curiosity and critical thinking with ability to understand underlying business drivers such as campaign plans, organizational changes, and operational factors
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and month-end close processes
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across functions
  • Interest in process improvement and continuous learning
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
