Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, localize and implement the national retail training strategy in alignment with HQ guidance and the Commercial Director's priorities.
  • Plan and manage the local training calendar, including audience segmentation, logistics, materials and scheduling.
  • Deliver engaging classroom and boutique training sessions and ‘Train the Trainer’ programmes, adapting global content to local market needs while preserving brand DNA.
  • Conduct regular boutique visits to provide on‑floor coaching, feedback and performance-focused development for sales ambassadors and managers.
  • Develop specialised modules on high‑value product sales, client relationship management and advanced selling techniques.
  • Drive adoption and completion rates of e‑learning platforms and foster an active internal learning community across boutiques.
  • Analyse store KPIs and mystery shopping results with the Commercial Director to identify training needs and propose targeted action plans.
  • Oversee translation/localization of training materials into Japanese and report training activity, participant progress and impact metrics to local management and HQ.

Qualifications

  • University graduate.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in retail training, learning & development or a comparable educational role; experience in luxury jewelry/watch categories strongly preferred.
  • Proven retail sales background preferred, with demonstrable coaching and training delivery experience.
  • Fluent Japanese and business‑level English (essential for HQ communication and material translation).
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
