Fred Heritage Assistant internship in Paris – six-month role managing archives and collections for the luxury jewelry house under LVMH, starting January 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and process archive holdings, including optimization, enrichment, and indexing on digital asset management (DAM) systems
  • Classify and monitor unprocessed archival materials; collect primary and secondary sources
  • Develop and optimize documentary databases and create detailed files for jewelry pieces
  • Conduct thematic archival research and produce scholarly studies
  • Assist with physical and digital inventory management of the house's private collection
  • Perform condition assessments and track physical movements of pieces
  • Monitor the secondary market for vintage Fred pieces and contribute acquisition proposals for collection enhancement
  • Draft storytelling guidelines for museum spaces within retail locations
  • Assist in creating training tools, newsletter content, and exhibition materials
  • Manage internal requests from customer service, marketing, communications, and after-sales departments
  • Participate in internal presentations and monitor heritage initiatives at other luxury houses

Qualifications

  • Background in heritage professions (master's degree in archives, documentation, collection management) or interdisciplinary study combining art history with business or commerce
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to fine jewelry and luxury craftsmanship
  • Strong interest in heritage preservation and scholarly archival research
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English
  • Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience in a private house heritage department considered advantageous

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 900 to EUR 1,300 per month.
