Maison Francis Kurkdjian seeks a General Accountant in its Finance Department to manage general and analytical accounting, closings, statutory reporting, tax filings, account analysis and process improvements. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and review the Maison’s general and analytical accounting, ensuring compliance with current tax and accounting standards.
- Record accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting and tax standards, including fixed assets and foreign exchange.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions.
- Ensure expenses are correctly coded by accounting nature and analytical dimensions, in coordination with the Management Control team.
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, hard-close and annual closing processes.
- Record inventory and cut-off entries, including FNP, FAE, CCA, PCA, and the revaluation of debts, receivables and bank accounts.
- Prepare statutory financial statements, including the tax package and notes.
- Ensure financial reporting is submitted to LVMH Group.
- Prepare materials for the General Meeting.
- Prepare and review statutory tax returns, including income tax, DEB, CFE and CVAE.
- Calculate taxable income and monitor corporate income tax payments.
- Monitor supplier and customer balances in coordination with Accounts Receivable.
- Review and analyse balance sheet and income statement accounts at defined intervals.
- Participate in projects to update the Maison’s accounting tools and processes.
- Monitor accounting internal-control points.
- Liaise with statutory auditors during annual and interim audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) in accounting.
- At least 5 years of experience in a General Accountant role.
- Excellent command of accounting standards, taxation, and legal and regulatory principles.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Rigour, consistent attention to detail and strong organisational skills for financial and data analysis.
- Commitment to confidentiality, data protection and data governance.
- Reliability and the ability to serve as a trusted point of contact for management.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to contribute to improving accounting processes.
- Adaptability and impeccable professional ethics.
