Ferrari Vehicle Methods Engineering Technologist in Maranello, Italy. €53,000–€58,000 annual. Full-time manufacturing engineering role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyse assembly feasibility of components across the entire vehicle through CAD, including exterior finishes, interior finishes, chassis, mechanical units, electrical systems, body and frame
- Collaborate with the Design department to define the correct breakdown of styling proposals for both interior and exterior finishes
- Develop macro assembly cycles for new projects, ensuring consistency with Ferrari assembly line constraints
- Create and update the technological bill of materials
- Carry out virtual checks to ensure correct accessibility of auxiliary equipment and manipulators required for component assembly
- Define assembly methods for all components, which will then be used to prepare gap & flush documentation and 2D drawings
- Identify technical solutions that deliver benefits in terms of labour efficiency, assembly simplification and perceived quality
- Define Make-or-Buy logics for new projects in line with vehicle initiatives
- Simplify the disassembly of the vehicle's core and highest-value components
- Prepare operation sheets detailing all assembly phases
- Propose project modifications from a Design for Manufacturing perspective, in collaboration with Product Development
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent previous experience in a technical field
- At least 3 years of company seniority and experience working closely with product, preferably within Manufacturing or R&D
- Proficiency in Catia V5
- Availability to travel to suppliers to discuss project progress
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Accountability combined with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Capacity to propose technical solutions and support continuous improvement from a Design for Manufacturing perspective
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience within Manufacturing or R&D, with demonstrated expertise in product development, assembly methods, and process engineering. Direct experience with automotive or high-performance vehicle assembly processes is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification and professional experience in a related field.

The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 53,000 to EUR 58,000 per annum.
