Ferrari is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Intern for its Product Development Quality team in Maranello, Italy, to support software quality standards across internal development and external suppliers. The intern will contribute to process assessments, milestone monitoring, quality reviews, candidate approvals and supplier evaluations. The internship includes a monthly allowance and daily complimentary access to the company restaurant.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement of software development processes through internal audits or assessments and metrics analysis.
- Monitor project milestone execution and support lessons-learned activities.
- Monitor internal software development processes by defining and updating quality checks, reports and reviews.
- Support and review software candidate approval checklists, focusing on the status of verification and validation activities.
- Participate in preparing and conducting external audits or assessments by certification companies.
- Evaluate the maturity of external suppliers’ software development processes and the quality of their work products by executing Ferrari tools (SEA, QRA and Program Review) during sourcing and development phases.
- Define and update work methods and reference procedures for software Quality Assurance, and support the definition of procedures for R&D.
Qualifications
- Recent Master’s graduate, current Master’s student eligible for an internship, or final-year student in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Management Engineering or an equivalent field.
- First work experience through internships or projects in the automotive or luxury sectors.
- Passion for automotive and innovative solutions.
- Analytical, target-oriented and structured thinking.
- Strong communication skills, including listening and in-depth reasoning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and awareness of the responsibilities associated with the role.
- Motivation to adapt to and learn from the company culture, and relish a challenge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Fluent English.
