Ferrari Financial Services seeks a Senior Accounting Specialist in Englewood Cliffs, NJ to manage general ledger operations and financial reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct general ledger activity including journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis for Ferrari Financial Services business
- Prepare and submit financial statements to parent company in compliance with reporting requirements
- Maintain and update portfolio asset database systems to create robust reporting structures
- Comply with monthly, quarterly, and annual public company reporting requirements
- Manage third-party providers regarding accounting inquiries and lease/loan administration systems
- Coordinate daily dealer funding, including contract review and supporting documentation verification
- Review and approve manual journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Interact regularly with Maranello factory colleagues and respond promptly to financial inquiries
- Calculate and review payoff amounts as requested by the business
- Verify all dealer finance commission payouts for accuracy
- Assist with periodic state reporting requirements and handle tax requests
- Support annual audit processes and manage ad hoc financial improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
- Strong knowledge of cost center and balance sheet analysis
- Knowledge of financial statement flux analysis
- CPA certification highly desirable
- Knowledge of Flexi financial software preferred
- Familiarity with automotive industry accounting preferred
- Finance company accounting experience preferred
- Public accounting experience preferred
Skills
Experience
5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in automotive finance, public accounting, or financial services. Demonstrated expertise in general ledger functions and the financial close process is essential.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
