Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the advancement of shoe structure development and industrialization activities with external suppliers and internal laboratories, ensuring adherence to timelines and required standards
- Research and analyse emerging technologies, innovative materials, and cutting-edge construction solutions for structures, with objectives to enhance performance, aesthetics, and cost efficiency
- Support the Technical Manager in evaluating the technical and industrial feasibility of structure projects proposed by the design office, providing critical input on materials, processes, and economic sustainability
- Collaborate actively with the pattern-making team on structure engineering, prototype refinement, and technical solution optimization whilst maintaining consistency with the stylistic vision
- Monitor and optimize the industrialization phases of structures at supplier facilities, implementing quality control procedures to ensure finished product excellence
- Create and update technical documentation pertaining to developed structures
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with Quality Control and Production teams to identify and resolve issues related to materials, processes, and structure performance
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in shoe component and structure development and industrialization, preferably in the luxury sector
- In-depth knowledge of materials specific to soles and structures, related processing technologies, and shoe manufacturing processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong orientation towards innovation and refined aesthetic sensibility aligned with luxury standards
- Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Flexibility, proactivity, and strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of specialized experience in shoe structure development and industrialization, preferably within the luxury sector. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency across materials selection, manufacturing processes, supplier coordination, and technical problem-solving within a footwear production environment.
Education
Technical diploma in a relevant discipline (engineering, materials science, footwear technology, or equivalent).
