Store Director at FENDI, New York. Lead a luxury boutique with full P&L responsibility, team management, and brand ambassador duties. $150K–$180K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive and improve overall sales performance and business results through strategic analysis and actionable planning
- Develop and execute sales strategies in cross-functional collaboration with corporate merchandising and retail teams
- Identify market opportunities to attract and retain clients; position the store as a local market authority
- Develop and execute events and incentive programs to accelerate business growth
- Ensure appropriate stock levels and merchandise assortment in collaboration with the buying team
- Recommend store renovations, upgrades, and expansion initiatives to enhance sales and market share
- Lead the sales floor with visible presence, empowering staff to deliver authentic client experiences and communicate performance expectations
- Partner with the Retail Events Office to organize and execute local promotional and brand-building events
- Drive customer service excellence to exceed expectations; lead by example in setting team standards
- Build and nurture a dedicated customer base; implement CRM tools and maintain accurate customer database
- Act as Brand Ambassador to strengthen relationships with VIP and prospect clientele
- Develop a robust private appointment and personalized service culture
- Ensure seamless alignment between front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Complete vital administrative paperwork and reporting in adherence to company KPIs and timelines
- Control daily invoices, petty cash, and costs to ensure efficient store operations
- Review and submit sales and operational reports to management according to company standards
- Maintain cycle count accuracy, inventory management, and shrink control
- Maximize visual impact of displays and window installations; ensure best-sellers are prominently featured
- Work with local freelancers and creative partners on impactful merchandising executions
- Build a positive, encouraging team dynamic; develop and empower staff through goal-setting and mentoring
- Roll out and communicate Top Store initiatives to ensure team alignment and understanding
- Recruit and attract top talent through strategic networking and market scouting
- Assess individual performance and growth potential; identify career advancement opportunities
- Identify and address team training needs proactively
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in luxury retail management
- Demonstrated expertise in driving sales performance and business results
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management functions
- Experience in ready-to-wear (RTW) merchandise preferred
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Organizational excellence and robust digital literacy
- Ability to lift and carry boxes/merchandise up to 10 lbs

Experience
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in luxury retail, with demonstrated success in driving sales performance, team management, and achieving business targets. Ready-to-wear (RTW) experience and prior exposure to flagship or high-volume luxury retail environments strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
