Fendi Purchasing Specialist – Shoes (Maternity Cover), Fermo, Italy. Temporary full-time procurement role managing raw materials supply chain.
Role & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and compute raw materials requirements using MRP systems
- Upload and transmit purchasing orders to external suppliers
- Analyze material timing throughout development, industrialization, and production phases, including supplier process assessment
- Elaborate and negotiate delivery plans with suppliers in alignment with production scheduling
- Demand assurances from external suppliers regarding raw materials provision and quality
- Monitor daily internal procurement processes for production materials
- Track and optimize supplier performance metrics, proactively developing KPI indicators to enhance purchasing workflow efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on product and service quality as well as delivery performance
- Rationalize and optimize the supplier base for assigned product categories
- Collaborate proactively with internal departments (product development, production planning, internal manufacturing) and external partners
Qualifications
- Degree in Management or Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge of Planning Systems, preferably MRP systems such as STEALTH 3000
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines
- Flexibility and diplomatic stakeholder management skills
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within the fashion or luxury apparel industry.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering.
Workplace
This position is based in Fermo, Marche, Italy, within easy reach of Ancona.
