About Fendi
Fendi is an Italian maison celebrated for its craft in fur, leather goods and ready-to-wear. As part of a major luxury group, the brand operates globally with an emphasis on artisanal savoir-faire, creative direction and runway-led brand expression. The Japan organisation combines global maison standards with a locally driven commercial and cultural approach.
Fendi Japan seeks a Public Relations Manager in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo to lead PR, events and influencer relations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Japan communications and PR strategy in close coordination with the Rome head office, covering women’s and men’s collections, Fendi Timepieces and corporate initiatives.
- Plan and execute press presentations, press caravans and product placements; prepare and distribute press materials and manage the local communications calendar to ensure timely coverage.
- Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with national and trade media to maximise earned coverage and secure strategic placements across print, broadcast and digital channels.
- Design and manage celebrity and influencer programmes: relationship-building, gifting strategies, product lending/listing, invitations to showroom events and fashion weeks, and amplification across TV and social channels.
- Oversee paid editorial and advertorial activity — planning, negotiation and execution — to complement earned PR.
- Plan and deliver PR-driven events locally and support global events; collaborate cross-functionally (Marketing & Communications, E‑commerce, CRM) to ensure 360° product launches and campaigns.
- Lead and mentor the local PR team (3 permanent staff and 1 temporary), supervise invoicing processes and own PR reporting, monitoring and archiving across traditional and social media.
Qualifications
- University graduate (bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Minimum five years’ professional experience in fashion with demonstrable PR experience at a luxury brand — luxury background is mandatory.

- Proven media relationships and a track record placing product with high-profile editorial, broadcast and digital platforms.
