Fendi seeks a Product Development Associate — Leather Goods (Bags) in Bagno a Ripoli, Italy. Temporary full-time maternity cover role supporting product development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end product development process for bags, from initial concept through to finished product and production handover.
- Participate in technical meetings with patternmakers, prototyping and product management teams to resolve technical issues and finalize specifications.
- Maintain and update the development calendar to ensure on-time delivery of samples and adherence to collection timelines.
- Create and keep the collection database current; ensure all technical documentation, technical data sheets, renderings and photos are correctly uploaded into the system.
- Monitor sample and development timing and proactively escalate risks to meet scheduled delivery dates.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and external development partners to track progress and ensure deliveries meet agreed milestones.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of product development experience within a luxury house or high-end accessories brand.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design or a closely related discipline.
- Fluent in Italian and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and operate effectively both independently and within cross‑functional teams.

1–2 years of hands-on product development experience in a luxury fashion or leather goods environment, demonstrating familiarity with sample workflow, technical packs and supplier liaison.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design or a related field.
