Fendi seeks an IS&T Workplace Operations Senior Specialist in Rome, Italy to lead Digital Workplace strategy, manage endpoints and collaboration tools, and support premium corporate environments. On-site, full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support and execute strategies to modernize digital workplaces by integrating collaboration tools, communication platforms, and user-centric technologies to enhance employee experience and productivity
- Identify and implement emerging technologies and best practices to improve the workplace environment, including sustainable IT initiatives
- Continuously assess and improve user experience through usability testing, feedback collection, and training programs aligned with business objectives
- Lead engineering, operations, and governance of workplace technologies (endpoints, collaboration tools, mobility services) across corporate offices and boutiques, ensuring alignment with brand and Group standards
- Serve as the primary technical escalation point, providing expert-level troubleshooting for complex or critical issues and driving root-cause resolution
- Deliver high-quality technical support for executive users and premium environments
- Collaborate with central IS&T teams to contribute to architecture principles, governance, and strategic roadmaps
- Drive local implementation of global workplace initiatives, ensuring proper integration and adoption across the organization
- Ensure compliance with Group standards, lifecycle management, and workplace strategies
- Participate in global projects, providing local insights and ensuring successful deployment
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Security, Networking, Compliance, Retail IS&T) to ensure end-to-end service consistency
- Support reporting activities, contributing to KPIs, SLAs, and service performance tracking
- Provide technical leadership across Digital Workplace initiatives, including proof-of-concept (PoC), benchmarking, and architectural evaluation
- Lead the rollout of new workplace tools in alignment with global roadmaps
- Identify improvement opportunities and provide structured feedback to central teams
- Define technical requirements and enforce engineering standards for vendors and service providers
- Manage the full lifecycle of workplace devices (procurement, configuration, asset management, decommissioning) in line with Group policies
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and secure configuration of all endpoints
- Support audits, risk assessments, and the adoption of security initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Advanced certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, or Apple platforms are highly desirable
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Digital Workplace, end-user computing, and IT operations support roles
- Advanced expertise with Windows environments, including deep troubleshooting and configuration capabilities
- Mastery of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online) with experience in governance, advanced troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Strong experience with MDM/EMM tools, preferably Workspace ONE
- Solid understanding of corporate networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, Active Directory) with ability to collaborate on architectural decisions
- Expertise in videoconferencing and meeting-room technologies used in luxury corporate settings
- Solid understanding of endpoint security and compliance frameworks

Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Digital Workplace, end-user computing, and IT operations support roles within corporate or enterprise environments. Extensive hands-on experience with Windows and Microsoft 365 environments, along with proven expertise in managing endpoints, collaborating with global IT teams, and supporting executive and high-end user communities.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft Certified Associate, or Apple Certified Associate are highly desirable.
