Fendi — Rome: Heritage Intern supporting archive management, exhibitions and loan processes within the Communications department (internship).
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Heritage team in daily management of the historical archive, including cataloguing and updating the internal digital heritage platform with new content.
- Assist in the selection and acquisition of new products and vintage items for the archive and potential exhibitions.
- Contribute to exhibition planning and design, emphasizing sustainable materials and set-up solutions to reduce paper use and favour recyclable/reusable systems.
- Participate in loan and shipping processes: assist with condition reporting, packing, preservation protocols and shipment organisation including insurance activation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders (Style, Industrialization, Press) and external partners (museum curators, costume designers) to coordinate research, photographic clearance and object documentation.
- Conduct material and fabric research and support conservation assessments for archival objects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Archival Studies, Communication, Languages, Humanities or a related field with archival coursework or demonstrable archive experience.
- Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in French is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Canva and social media platforms.
- Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- Interest in fashion history, vintage garments and heritage preservation, with a creative and technology-forward mindset.
