Fendi FP&A Director role in Tokyo. Lead financial operations for the luxury fashion retail subsidiary, managing strategy, compliance, and team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with Fendi Japan's business objectives; provide financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to guide strategic decision-making
  • Lead budget development and management processes; monitor financial performance and optimize resource allocation and cost management
  • Prepare, coordinate, and support accurate and timely financial reporting including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in compliance with IFRS standards
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies tailored to Maison requirements; ensure robust internal controls and regulatory compliance
  • Manage and mentor the FP&A team (1 manager and 1 analyst), fostering excellence and continuous professional development
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow to ensure financial stability and liquidity; manage working capital efficiently
  • Oversee tax planning and optimization strategies; support Fashion Group Finance with tax return preparation and Japanese regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with external auditors and internal control functions during annual external audit and ongoing audit engagements
  • Implement and maintain financial systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for effective management
  • Partner with LVMH Fashion Group and Fashion Group Japan on cross-Maison projects and drive organizational efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within retail or luxury industries
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • In-depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Familiarity with Japanese financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards
  • Professional working proficiency in English and Japanese
