Fendi seeks an E‑commerce Manager in Chiyoda (Tokyo), Japan to lead local digital operations, merchandising and omnichannel growth.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the localized launch and continuous optimisation of Fendi’s e‑commerce business in Japan, driving UX/UI improvements and conversion across the funnel.
- Define and execute local merchandising strategy: plan on‑site content, product launches, restocking and assortment to match Japanese demand and commercial calendar.
- Operate daily site activities including order monitoring, SOM data management, coordination with local warehouse and client service to resolve fulfilment or customer issues.
- Analyse funnel and site metrics (traffic, AOV, CVR) and translate insights into prioritized product, content and technology initiatives to achieve KPIs.
- Own e‑commerce commercial planning and monthly bottom‑up forecasts; set budgets and monitor flow‑through metrics with global and local stakeholders.
- Drive omnichannel projects (e.g., BOPIS, omni stock) end‑to‑end: scope, implementation, performance monitoring and alignment with retail teams.
- Coordinate with marketing/communications to align digital campaigns, monitor channel performance and optimise acquisition and retention levers.
- Develop and oversee E‑CRM activities in line with CRM governance to maximise customer lifetime value and repeat purchase.
- Proactively identify new e‑business opportunities, emerging web technologies and integrations (payments, delivery, platform features) to propose to the global team.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in luxury e‑commerce, with demonstrable commercial impact.
- Proven people management experience and track record leading cross‑functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Hands‑on knowledge of OMS workflows (Salesforce SOM or equivalent) and e‑commerce order fulfilment operations.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics (GA4) and strong quantitative skills to analyse performance and drive decisions.
- Native level Japanese and fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with E‑Commerce IT tools and site platforms.
- Results‑driven, detail oriented, strong organisational and prioritisation capabilities.

Experience
At least 8 years of experience in luxury e‑commerce with demonstrated ownership of site operations, merchandising, commercial planning and people management.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, digital commerce or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
