Fendi seeks a Department Manager — Ladies Ready-to-Wear in London to lead merchandising, sales and team performance at its Harrods boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive department commercial performance by setting targets, monitoring KPIs and executing action plans to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • Lead category merchandising: ensure stock availability, optimize assortment and proximity storage, and liaise with Stock Planning and Merchandising for replenishment of best sellers.
  • Deliver exceptional client experiences and implement clienteling and CRM initiatives to grow VIP and loyal customer relationships.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards consistent with brand guidelines and align displays to sales performance.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and shrinkage within company standards; ensure merchandise is properly stored and maintained.
  • Coach, develop and organise the team: set individual objectives, conduct monthly performance reviews, deliver category training and delegate responsibilities according to business needs.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback to the Store Manager; participate in ad-hoc clientele and store projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' supervisory experience in fashion or luxury retail, with direct exposure to womenswear or the relevant product category.
  • Proven leadership and people-management skills with experience setting team and individual targets.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience analysing sales data and executing corrective action plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to represent the brand to VIP clients.
  • High standards of personal presentation and professionalism.
  • Solid administration and financial literacy; competence with retail systems and general IT tools.
  • Goal-oriented, organised and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
