Fendi seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Rome to support boutique leadership, drive clienteling and lead a high-performing retail team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in day-to-day leadership to ensure operational excellence, team effectiveness and achievement of sales targets.
- Recruit, develop and mentor store talent; implement succession plans and coach managers to elevate team performance and customer experience.
- Drive clienteling and relationship-building initiatives, nurturing VIP and local-market client networks and collaborating with PR on VIP engagement.
- Lead the sales floor by example: ensure selling standards, visual and service protocols are upheld and actively coach staff in real time.
- Contribute to commercial planning through KPI analysis, implementation of action plans and support for merchandising and market-specific initiatives.
- Oversee store operations with the Operations Manager: manage controllable expenses, inventory, loss prevention, rota planning and risk mitigation.
- Conceive and support events such as trunk shows and special displays to maximise brand visibility and sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in fashion or luxury retail sales with a demonstrable commercial track record.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity within a luxury retail environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to engender trust among colleagues and clients.
- Strong analytical orientation: competent in reading sales figures, KPIs and translating insights into action.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire and drive a results-oriented team while maintaining the highest customer service standards.

A minimum of 10 years in fashion/luxury sales, including at least 5 years in a managerial role within a boutique or store-level environment.
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
