Fendi seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead comprehensive accounting operations and drive financial excellence across the organization. This senior finance professional will oversee accounts payable and receivable, inventory management, period-end close processes, and ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role combines operational oversight with strategic business partnership, delivering timely financial reporting and robust internal controls to support executive decision-making.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end financial close
  • Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenues, expenses, accruals, and provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality
  • Ensure integrity of financial records through effective governance and process discipline
  • Provide insightful financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance commentary to support executive decision-making
  • Partner with FP&A and business leaders in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing reliable financial data, projections, and business insights
  • Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies
  • Design, maintain, and continuously strengthen the internal control framework to safeguard company assets and ensure reporting accuracy
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-performance execution

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar management position within an international group, preferably in luxury retail
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven leadership skills and team management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 65,000 per annum.
