Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, intercompany reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end close processes
- Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenues, expenses, accruals, and provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data quality while ensuring the integrity of financial records through effective governance and process discipline
- Provide insightful financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance commentary to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to support reliable financial projections and business insights
- Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies while designing and maintaining a robust internal control framework
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings and implementation of corrective actions
- Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting team, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and professional growth while promoting a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar management position within an international group, preferably in luxury retail
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills and substantial team management experience
