Fendi in Rome seeks an Accounting & Finance Transformation Manager to lead accounting automation, SAP S/4HANA and reporting initiatives at HQ.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end accounting operations including daily bookkeeping, reconciliations and month‑end close to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
- Design and implement automation and AI‑driven solutions to streamline accounting workflows, reduce manual intervention and improve data quality.
- Standardize and optimize accounting processes across the finance perimeter to shorten cycle times and strengthen controls.
- Prepare financial reports, variance analyses and management commentary; translate complex finance data into actionable business insights.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities related to accounting; ensure alignment with group financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations and internal policies; support internal and external audits with transparent, well‑documented records.
- Act as a change agent to drive digital transformation across the finance function and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deploy ERP and analytics solutions.
- Manage, mentor and develop the accounting team, promoting best practices in controls, reporting and systems usage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a management role within an international group, preferably in luxury retail or fashion.
- Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written).
- Proven expertise with SAP S/4HANA and Power BI.
- Practical experience implementing automation systems and AI‑enabled accounting tools.
- Deep knowledge of financial accounting, reporting standards, internal controls and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and finance, with a track record of leading transformation projects, deploying ERP/analytics solutions and managing cross‑functional teams within an international corporate environment.
Education
Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
